Worked as advertised. Would definitely recommend to anyone with really high chandeliers. You will need a ladder to access with extensions if you have 22’ ceilings like I do. Saved me from renting scaffolding or tall ladder.
This device is perfect for the candelabra bulbs that are impossible to reach safely even with a long ladder. I was initially worried about it's grip on the bulb but the design is very good and chance of falling is very low. I haven't tried to attach other heads to this yet but removing and installing candelabra bulbs won't be a problem.
This product exceeded all of our expectations. We have a chandelier hung on a cathedral ceiling 10+ feet above the floor. Five of the small base flame tip chandelier bulbs had burned out. I was able to remove and replaced all of the bulbs quickly and in complete safety with the highlight bulb changer. My wife and adult children are able to breathe a sigh of relief knowing I do not need to climb a ladder to accomplish this task any longer.I highly recommend this product.
Question: Is the head motorized if not how do you twist the bulb out or in?
Answer: Just turn the handle. It works great and I do not need to be on a 12' ladder.
Question: Does the head pivot? Can you change bulbs with the pole horizontal? My chandelier can be reached horizontally from a balcony at top of my stairs
Answer: Mine does not pivot, perhaps manufacturer will offer this useful feature at some future date. Also, beware of clearance between bulb tiers, as the unit requires about 3" between each tier.
Question: I have upward facing CFL bulbs. will this change CFL bulbs or can I attach Bayco lbc-600c charging kit pieces to it?
Answer: Great question! Any Bayco basket or cup will fit up into the Grabber housing if you remove the tightening screw from the Bayco attachment. To use facing upward, just screw onto the ACME thread on the pole mast, this time using the tightening screw to secure.
Question: Can you attach a longer extension pole to the bulb changing head? My chandelier is 16 ft from the ground so a 6 ft extension pole is not long enough.
Answer: Thanks for your question, Jersey Mom! At this time, we do not sell extension units. We are a relatively new and small company, so we hope to offer extensions in the future. Please check back in the future, and thanks again for the question!
Question: I have inverted roughly 6-inch globe-type bulbs. Do you know if the sticky head would attach to this type head?
Answer: The current housing configuration will not change 6-inch globe bulbs. We are working on a larger housing that can handle these types of bulbs though. Thanks for the question!
Question: All of the demos show the person changing the chandelier bulbs directly below the chandelier. Can you change with the telescoping pole at an angle?
Answer: Maybe a little angle. If you look at the pictures of the device, you will see a black part holding the bulb. It is made of a kind of sticky rubber that grips the bulb. There is some give to it, but not a tremendous amount. Closer to 10 degrees of angle vs 45 degrees.
